Behind the lens: This is a portrait of Jilime, a well-known sub-adult leopard in the Maasai Mara. During the first few years of Jilime’s life she created quite the reputation for herself, engaging in curious and entertaining behaviors never seen before by leopards - who are known to be shy. In this image, she is in the spotlight, a metaphorical place she has dominated since her early years.
